Vanyeganneft produces oil at the Van-Yoganskoe and Ai-Yoganskoe fields in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District. In 2007 the company obtained exploration license for search and evaluation of raw hydrocarbon deposits within East Chernogorsky area.

Rosneft holds 100% of Vanyeganneft shares.

Van-Yoganskoe oil and gas condensate field contains 63 accumulations of oil, gas and condensate occurring at depths ranging from 900 to 3,000 m, of which 18 oil accumulations in Pokurian sediments contain high viscosity oil.

Commercial oil content of Ai-Yoganskoe oil, gas and condensate field is associated with upper-jurassic deposits of Vasyugan suite and Early Cretaceous deposits in Megion suite with seam depth ranging from 2,300 to 2,700 m.

The fields developed by Vanyeganneft are integrated into the regional transport infrastructure. Crude oil is exported and delivered to the domestic market via the trunk pipeline owned by Transneft.
